The great thing about online sewing is the friendships you can make around the world. I got to know Penny of Sew Take a Hike in the first round of Ringo Pie and recently with have been plotting together. We both love paper piecing and have a similar style and taste for the thing sew like to design and piece. So, we are starting a paper piecing blog and shop in addition to our usual blogs, Sew-Ichigo is being styled as I write so this icon may still be tweaked but it gives you an idea.
'Ichigo' is Japanese for Strawberry, so there are echoes of Penny with 'Sew' and me with a berry! We both wanted to go beyond the usual patterns for sale and have a more community interactive feel refelcting the online sewing community. We have pattern of the month clubs planned, themed pattern sets, linky posts and much more. We are already well underway with new paper piecing designs- the first ones have a kitchen related theme-bet you never expected that! We can both never have enough of kitchenalia! I hope you are intrigued, Penny and I are giddy with excitement about Sew-Ichigo!
