I am totally planning to join this QAL, but I'm trying to wrap up another big paper-pieced quilt first. I started quilting it today...by hand. So God knows when I'll get to the Farmer's Wife project. At least quilting by hand frees up my machine to start piecing.ciaraxyerrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09071728954133012037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1652190296430922611.post-90094746152257318462015-09-29T18:54:08.332+01:002015-09-29T18:54:08.332+01:00I love your April block!I love your April block!Archie The Wonder Doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16348256617269963755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1652190296430922611.post-22967017495344783472015-09-28T21:40:08.957+01:002015-09-28T21:40:08.957+01:00I'm not quite sure Jodie! I'm undecided! I guess the half blocks could be replaced with background though? I’ve got that as an option in my head!verykerryberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07485169920671733941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1652190296430922611.post-63499507286323641592015-09-28T15:44:12.924+01:002015-09-28T15:44:12.924+01:00Thanks for the great explanations. In the book it looks like all blocks are set on point and there's a background fabric. I love the knowledge and inspiration, and I'm really crushing on these Farmer's Wife blocks and dying to make some of my own, but that is how I got myself into the pickle of having projects in progress strewn all over the sewing room, confusion over which shade of Kona white is the background fabric for which project, and only one finished quilt to show for myself so far for all of 2015! I am just glad that these posts will still be here when I've caught up with myself a bit. I am especially enamored by the combinations of saturated solids with the sweet, small-scale florals in today's blocks. Maybe I could set up a Featherweight in the corner of my room and make just ONE block today... :-)Rebecca Gracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14801489818836195754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1652190296430922611.post-60936925191471847372015-09-28T08:03:48.716+01:002015-09-28T08:03:48.716+01:00Your blocks are gorgeous Kerry.
